강좌소개

이 강좌는 인류의 가장 기본적이고도 원초적인 조직인 가족을 한국사 속에서 살펴 본 것이다. 시대별 가족의 성립 조건과 사회적 위치, 역할 등을 살펴 봄으로써 결혼, 성, 사랑의 형태와 문화, 법과 제도를 역사적으로 검토한다. 이러한 역사적 검토는 '가족이란 무엇인가?'라는 본질적 질문에 대한 답이기도 하며, 현대 사회의 가족 문제를 이해하고 해결하기 위한 첫걸음이기도 하다. 나아가 가족의 역사적 변화 과정을 학습해 봄으로써 가족의 미래를 또한 예측해볼 수 있을 것이다.

This course explores the themes of family, one of the oldest human organizations, sex, one of the oldest identities, and love, one of the oldest emotional, rational, and physical activities, in Korean history. Through a diachronic history from ancient times to the present, students will have the opportunity to understand the past and present of family, sex, and love, and predict their future.

본 강좌는 선사시대부터 현대에 이르는 긴 시간대를 다루게 된다. 다만 한국 역사에서 가족, 성, 사랑이라는 주제가 갖는 특징을 가장 잘 보여주는 것은 조선시대라는 판단에서 조선시대의 문화를 설명하는 데 가장 많은 비중을 두고자 했다. 본 강좌에서는 긴 시간대를 다루는 만큼 시대마다의 특징을 효과적으로 보이기 위해 다양한 사례를 제시하게 될 것이다. 이러한 사례를 비롯하여 교수자의 강의 내용을 들을 때 우리가 살고 있는 시공간을 기준으로 삼기보다는 당대의 시공간을 기준으로 삼고자 하는 노력이 필요할 것이다. 주차별로 제공되는 객관식, 서술형 문항과 토론 문제는 평이한 난이도로 출제되어 강의 내용을 충실히 따라간 수강생들은 큰 어려움을 느끼지 않을 것이다. 강의 후에는 서술형과 객관식 퀴즈를 제시하여 강의 내용에 대한 이해도를 평가한다. 5주차와 10주차에는 한줄 토론 문항이 제시되는데, 토론을 통해 모든 수강생들은 한국 역사 속의 가족, 성, 사랑이라는 주제에 대해 서로의 시각을 확인하는 기회를 갖게 될 것이다.

This course covers a broad timeframe from prehistoric times to the present. However, since the themes of family, sex, and love are most effectively illustrated during the period of the Joseon Dynasty, a significant emphasis will be placed on explaining the culture of that period. The course introduces various cases that effectively represent the characteristics of each historical era. It is important for learners to frame their thoughts based on the context of each era rather than the present when they are taking the lecture and participating in discussions.
