한국사 속 주요 국왕과 정치 지도자의 생애, 시대적 역할, 한계, 리더십에 대해 공부한다.
Students will examine the major kings and political leaders in Korean history, focusing on their lives, roles, limitations, and leadership.

2. 한국사 속 주요 국왕과 정치 지도자의 시대적 역할이나 한계를 논할 수 있다.
Students can discuss the historical roles of kings and political leaders in Korean history, including their limitations.

3. 한국사 속 주요 국왕과 정치 지도자를 통해 올바른 리더십은 무엇인지 생각해볼 수 있다.
Students will consider the desirable qualities of leadership by analyzing the examples of kings and political leaders in Korean history.

1주차. 고조선~삼국시대의 개창자와 전성기를 이끈 왕들을 통해 한국 고대국가의 건립과 추이를 이해한다.
Week 1. Students will be able to understand the founding process of Korean ancient states through founders and golden age leaders of the Old Chosŏn and the Three Kingdoms.

2주차. 신라 문무왕과 발해 대조영의 생애를 통해 신라의 통일과 발해의 건국이 갖는 의미를 이해한다.
Week 2. Students will be able to understand the significance of Silla's unification and founding of Parhae through the lives of King Munmu of Silla and Tae Choyŏng of Parhae.

3주차. 성종과 공민왕의 생애와 업적을 살펴봄으로써 고려의 국가적 기틀 확립과, 몽골의 간섭에서 벗어나는 과정을 이해한다.
Week 3. Students will be able to understand the process of establishing the foundation of the Koryŏ state and becoming independent from Mongolian intervention, through the lives and achievements of King Sŏngjong and King Kongmin of Koryŏ.

4주차. 세종의 생애와 업적을 살펴봄으로써 유교국가 조선의 수립 과정과 그 특질에 대해 이해한다.
Week 4. Students will be able to understand the process of founding Chosŏn, the Confucian state, and its characteristics through the life and achievements of King Sejong.

5주차. 영조와 정조 시기의 정치‧사회 정책과 당시 사회상을 통해 조선 후기 사회의 변화상을 이해한다.
Week 5. Students will be able to understand the changes in the late Chosŏn society through the politics and social policies during the reigns of King Yŏngjo and Chŏngjo.

6주차. 흥선대원군과 고종의 생애를 통해 개항과 대한제국 수립을 전후한 시기의 역사상을 이해한다.
Week 6. Students will be able to understand the historical background around the opening of ports and founding of the Taehan Empire, through the lives of Hŭngsŏn Taewŏn'gun and King Kojong.

7주차. 일제 강점기 안창호와 이광수의 삶을 비교 대조해봄으로써 당시 민족운동의 추이와 분열 양상에 대해 이해한다.
Week 7. Students will be able to understand the development and division of nationalistic movements, by comparing the lives of An Ch'angho and Yi Kwangsu in the colonial period.

8주차. 김구와 이승만의 삶을 비교 대조해봄으로써 일제 강점기에서 해방 직후에 이르는 시기 민족운동의 추이와 신국가 건설운동의 양상을 이해한다.
Week 8. Students will be able to understand the development of nationalistic movements and new state-founding movements from the colonial period to liberation period, by comparing the lives of Kim Ku and Syngman Rhee.

9주차. 박정희와 김일성의 생애와 집권기의 성격을 비교 대조해봄으로써 한국 근현대사와 남북분단에 대해 이해한다.
Week 9. Students will be able to understand the division of Korean Peninsular and Korean modern contemporary history, by comparing the lives and regimes of Park Chung-hee and Kim Il-sung.

10주차. 대한민국 대통령을 역임했던 김영삼과 김대중의 생애를 통해 한국 민주주의 운동의 역사를 이해한다.
Week 10. Students will be able to understand the history of Korean democratization movements through the lives of Kim Young Sam and Kim Dae-jung, former presidents of the Republic of Korea.

A certificate will be issued to students who achieve a total score of 60% or higher.
