수업내용 Contents

한국사 속 주요 여성 인물들의 생애, 업적, 시대적 한계와 한국사 속 여성의 지위 변화에 대해 학습한다.
Students will study the major female figures in Korean history, focusing on their lives, achievements and the historical limitations, in order to understand the change in women's status throughout Korean history.

학습목표 Objectives

1. 한국사 속 주요 여성 인물의 생애와 업적에 대해 설명할 수 있다. Students will explore the lives and achievements of major female figures in Korean history.

2. 한국사 속 주요 여성 인물을 둘러싼 시대적 한계에 대해 설명할 수 있다. Students will examine the historical limitations that surrounded the major female figures in Korean history.

3. 한국사에서 여성의 지위가 어떻게 변화해왔는지 통시대적으로 논할 수 있다. Students will discuss how women's status in Korean history has changed over time.

주차별 학습목표 Weekly Objectives

1. 선덕여왕의 즉위 전후 상황과 그 재위 시절의 일화 및 문화유산을 통해 당시의 시대적 배경과 문화적 특질을 이해한다. Students will explore the historical backgrounds and cultural characteristics around the reign of Queen Sŏndŏk through examining the circumstances around her enthronement, episodes and cultural heritage during her reign.

2. 천추태후와 기황후의 생애를 살펴봄으로써 고려 왕실 여성의 삶과 몽골 간섭기의 공녀, 고려-몽골 관계에 대해 이해한다. Students will examine the lives of Queen Ch'ŏnch'u and Empress Ki, to understand the lives of women in Koryŏ royalty and tribute girls during the Mongolian interference, and to explore Koryŏ-Mongol relations.

3. 정희왕후와 인수대비의 생애를 통해 조선의 왕비 선발과 정치적 역할에 대해 이해한다. Students will examine how queens were selected and what were their political roles during the Chosŏn dynasty, through the lives of Queen Chŏnghŭi and Queen Insu.

4. 신사임당, 임윤지당, 김만덕의 생애를 살펴봄으로써 조선 사회에서 여성의 지위와 역할에 대해 생각해본다. Students will explore women's status and roles in the Chosŏn society, by examining the lives of Shin Saimdang, Im Yunjidang, and Kim Mandŏk.

5. 갑신정변의 추이와 궁녀 고대수의 역할을 살펴봄으로써 역사 서술에서 소외되었던 여성의 존재에 대해 이해한다. Students will explore the existence of women excluded from the historical narratives by examining the role of Kodaesu the court lady in the process of Kapsin Coup.

6. 이은숙과 허은의 생애를 살펴봄으로써 독립운동에 기여한 주체적인 여성의 삶과 여성 운동가의 존재를 이해한다. Students will explore the lives of autonomous women contributing to the independence movement and the existence of female activists by examining the lives of Yi Ŭnsuk and Hŏ Ŭn.

7. 유관순의 활동을 중심으로 3ㆍ1운동의 추이와 그 속에서 여학생들의 참여 양태를 확인한다. Students will examine the participation of female students in the March 1st Movement, focusing on the role of Yu Kwansun.

8. 강주룡의 삶을 통해 일제 강점기 여성 노동자의 처지를 이해하고, 을밀대 시위의 함의를 파악한다. Students will explore the status of female workers during the colonial period and the implications of the Ŭlmildae protest, by examining the life of Kang Churyong.

9. 이태영이 한국 최초 여성 변호사가 되는 과정과 그 활동을 살펴봄으로써 한국 여성 인권의 진전 상황을 이해한다. Students will explore the development of female rights in Korea by examining the case of Yi T'aeyŏng on how she became the first female lawyer and what role she played afterward.

10. 이소선의 생애를 살펴봄으로써 한국 근현대 여성의 삶과 노동운동의 진전 양상을 이해한다. Students will explore women's lives in Korean modern contemporary history and the development of labor movements, by examining the life of Yi Sosŏn.
